A statement released by the Presidency also cautioned the media and the general public to desist from linking President BUHARI to the travail of the suspected corrupt judges.
Writing in the statement, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, GARBA SHEHU, said President BUHARI would be the last person to authorise anybody to induce a judge to pervert the course of justice.
The Presidential spokesman said despite his personal familiarity with some judges, the President had never used that to seek favours from them even when he was battling his election petitions from 2003 to 2011. GARBA SHEHU also said the President does not tell Courts how to do their jobs, and he has no intention to do so in the cases involving seven suspected corrupt judges.
SHEHU said the President believes that persons accused of corruption are protected by law to defend their innocence. He said the purpose of the law is to punish the guilty and acquit the innocent.
