The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, FEMI ADESINA, said President BUHARI was advised by some South-East leaders not to take the trip to Enugu for a regional summit.
ADESINA gave this indication while responding to questions during an interview on a national television station monitored in Port Harcourt.
The Presidential spokes did not mention names of where the advice came from, but added that President BUHARI would definitely visit the South-East in due course.
Speaking further; FEMI ADESINA dismissed insinuations that President MUHAMMADU BUHARI had not done enough to reunite the country after the damage on the national psyche by the divisive 2015 general election campaign.
However; the Presidential spokesman maintained that it was the responsibility of all Nigerians to face the fact the election campaigns were long over and the country needed the support of all to move forward.
On the declaration of defeat by the Nigerian Military against the Boko Haram terrorist group; the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity dismissed scepticism in some quarters towards the announcement.
