This was the message of the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger-Delta Development Commission, NSIMA EKERE.
He was speaking during a handover ceremony at the NDDC Headquarters in the Rivers State capital, Port Harcourt.
EKERE said the Federal government was ready and willing to meet the needs of Niger Delta people through new policies that would be launched soon.
The new NDDC boss cautioned those sabotaging the production of crude oil in the region to refrain from their actions.
NSIMA EKERE also promised to pursue the core mandate of the NDDC despite the sharp drop in revenue.
In her remark; IBIM SEMINITARI who formerly stepped down as Acting Managing Director of the NDDC, underscored the achievements of her tenure.
While presenting her handover notes; SEMINITARI said the NDDC under her leadership was able to complete between twenty-five percent and forty percent of ongoing projects.
Meanwhile, the new Chairman of the NDDC Board, Senator VICTOR NDOMA-EGBA said the commission would be strictly guided by the principles of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Senator NDOMA-EGBA while addressing members of the management team and staff of the NDDC, said transparency, accountability and fairness would be the watchword for the new NDDC leadership.
He said rapid infrastructure and human capital development would be pursued by the NDDC.
