Amaechi made the plea during the 60th birthday celebration of Apostle Eugene Ogu in Port Harcourt where he noted that solution to the problems of the country is not just the distribution of money.
The former Transportation Minister while recounting how some people are now regretting their mistakes in voting during party primaries after collecting money from some contestants said Nigerians must rise up to vote the man that will solve the problems of the country.
Amaechi who is the leader of APC in Rivers State commended the Apostle Eugene Ogu for standing by him in his political race, saying that several others have left him especially when they road became too tough.
The former Governor said Rivers people can now decide between him and Governor Nyesom Wike who is a better governor.
Amaechi said insecurity became a thing of the past during his time as Governor of Rivers State but that kidnapping and cultism have become the order of the day.
