Speaking with Today FM’s Treasure Onuodu, the residents referenced the numerous dates previously given by NNPCL for the refinery’s commencement, which never materialized.
They argued that the latest announcement by NNPCL has further increased the price of premium motor spirit, popularly known as petrol, and expressed frustration with the government’s repeated delays.
However, another resident noted that work is ongoing at the refinery site and expressed optimism that the project would be completed, as people in the area are reportedly pleased with the progress.
