Port Harcourt International Airport set to get face-lift following FEC approval for completion of renovation .

The Council at its meeting today at the State House in Abuja also approved the establishment of nine new private universities across the country.

This was made known by the Minister of State for Education, Professor ANTHONY ANWUKA, while briefing State House correspondents after the meeting.

One of the universities is owned by the Deeper Christian Life Ministry and is located at Ayobo suburb of Lagos.

Also approved is Arthur Jarvis University in Akpabuyo, Cross River; Clifford University in Abia State, owned by the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and Coal City University in Enugu.

Others are Crown-Hill University in Kwara State, Dominican University in Ibadan, Oyo State, Kola Daisi University also in Ibadan, Oyo State, and Legacy University at Okija, Anambra State.

The Minister of State for Aviation, Senator HADI SIRIKA, also told State House Correspondent that the approval for the renovation of the Port Harcourt International Airport is based on its importance to the national economy.
