Police in Rivers State seek Traditional Rulers support in fighting Cultism

 

 

The Chairman, Police Campaign against Cultism Port Harcourt Volunteer Club, Eke Owuka who spoke when he led the team to the palace of the Amayanabo of Okochiri Kingdom, King Michael Ateke-Tom said the move became necessary owning to the fact that Traditional rulers are the custodian of the law.

 

 

Owuka while noting that the campaign is aimed at saving the children at a younger age from criminal activities, said they visited the Okochiri Mornach because of his role in the fight against insecurity in the state and the Niger Delta.

 

 

 

 

Speaking in an interview with our correspondent Uchendu Ejiowhor, the Paramount Ruler Evo Kingdom, Eze Lesley Eke encouraged Traditional rulers to be part of the campaign and urged young people to shun cultism and criminality for the interest of development.

 

 

 

In his response, the Amayanabo of Okochiri Kingdom, King Michael Ateke-Tom who spoke through his Chief of Staff, Chief Tamuno Akalubo assured of his support in the fight against criminality at all levels.
