Reports say one of the would-be female suicide bombers was shot dead, while the second woman was arrested around Molai area of Maiduguri.
A report quoting the Borno State Police Command indicate that the suicide bombers were sighted behind an NNPC mega filling station in the area, as they tried to infiltrate Maiduguri town.
The Police Public Relations Officer, VICTOR ISUKU revealed that a total of eighteen girls of about eighteen years of age were arrested during the operation.
