The suspects were caught while trying to escape with items removed from hotel rooms where they had checked-in as guests around Alakahia community in Obio-Akpor.
An eyewitness of the incident said luck ran out on the suspects after the hotel receptionist raised alarm on noticing their strange behaviour.
Our source further disclosed that the manager of another hotel in neighbouring Rumualogu who ran to the scene also identified the suspects as those who had previously stolen from his place.
Items recovered from the suspected criminals include three television sets, table telephone sets and towels.
