Persons living with disabilities in the Diobu area of Port Harcourt are appealing to the Sole Administrator of Rivers State for assistance amid worsening economic hardships. The group laments that their living conditions are deteriorating daily due to the ongoing economic crunch.
Led by Tariboka Kayodegege, the group has called on the Rivers State government to provide them with free vehicles and access to loans to enable them to earn a livelihood. Kayodegege emphasized that feeding has become increasingly difficult for many members during this challenging period.
The founder of Lucky Star Foundation, which supports persons with disabilities, stated that his organization is open to partnering with the state government to reach out to more disabled persons and provide necessary aid. The group hopes that with increased support, they can better navigate the hardships and improve their living conditions.
