Permanent Secretary of the Rivers State Ministry of Transport has advised Governor NYESOM WIKE to continue with the monorail project initiated by his predecessor, ROTIMI AMAECHI.
STELLA EBERE WIGWE made the suggestion when she appeared before the Commission of Inquiry investigating selected financial transactions of the immediate-past administration.
WIGWE said the monorail project has so far gulped thirty-three point nine billion, out of fifty billion naira earmarked by the state government for the first phase of the project.
Correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that former governor, ROTIMI AMAECHI did not appear before the Commission of Inquiry as ordered by the Chairman, Justice GEORGE OMERIJI.
