The plea comes as a result of a recent attack on Bille passengers boat over the weekend which led to the death of a man identified as, Taminoemi Kemuel, a father of 6 children while several others were wounded and some reported missing.
Speaking in an interview with our correspondent, some indigenes of the community lamented that they can no longer ply their water route without being attacked by sea pirates.
The people however expressed displeasure on the failure of the twenty-nine Tactical Battalion of the Nigerian Army stationed in Bille Kingdom for not making any effort in protecting lives and property of the people.
On his part, leader of Bille youths who protested against activities of sea pirates, Dauseighe Bowei told our correspondent Uchendu Ejiowhor that the Bille people are starving to death, as they can no longer ply Bille water route to Port Harcourt for fear of being attacked and killed by sea pirates.
