Governor WIKE was speaking against the backdrop of the controversy that stalled the PDP National Convention in Port Harcourt.
WIKE expressed regret for the role he played in the emergence of ALI MODU SHERIFF as PDP Chairman.
However; he said at the time the decision was reached, the PDP is in desperate need to move forward, whether good or bad.
He wondered what personal interest SHERRIF has in the PDP that makes it difficult for him to step down in the overall interest of the party.
Governor NYESOM WIKE also accused the APC-led Federal Government of using the Nigerian Police Force to seal off the venue of the PDP convention.
He also accused the Rivers State Police Command of using vehicles donated by his administration to stop the PDP from holding its convention.
That was Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE.
