Rivers state Governor, NYESOM WIKE has disclosed that the AHMED MARKARFI-led PDP has filed a stay of execution against the Judgment of the Port Harcourt division of the Appeal Court that affirmed Senator ALI-MODU SHERIFF as the National Chairman of the party.
Governor WIKE stated this during a live television programme monitored in Port Harcourt.
He the Judgment of the Appeal court cannot stand adding that the party will have to wait for the verdict of the Supreme Court.
The Rivers state Governor also said his initial support for SHERIFF is one of his greatest regrets as a politician.
Governor NYESOM WIKE emphasized that he will not recognise Senator ALI-MODU SHERIFF as the Chairman of the PDP because of his questionable character.
Rivers state Governor however boasted that he can win election under any political platform in the state.
