Super Falcons midfielder Toni Payne says Nigeria are prepared to deal with Cameroon’s physical style of play ahead of their WAFCON 2026 quarter-final clash.
Payne said the team is aware of the challenge posed by the Indomitable Lionesses and has prepared accordingly for what is expected to be a highly competitive encounter.
The Super Falcons reached the quarter-finals after recovering from their opening defeat to Malawi with victories over Zambia and Egypt.
Cameroon, meanwhile, topped Group D after recording wins over Ghana and Mali and drawing with Cape Verde.
Nigeria and Cameroon will meet in the quarter-finals at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, with a place in the semi-finals and qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup at stake.
