Today FM gathered that the recent attack comes barely a month after the Andoni Council Chairman, Erastus Awortu and the Andoni Council of Traditional Rulers intervened and resolved the conflict between rival cult groups in the Area.

One of the women in the community also lamented that they can no longer buy and sell their sea food as a result of the attacks.
When Today FM contacted the Rivers State Police Command through the Public Relations Officer SP Nnamdi Omoni, he said the command was yet to be informed about the incident but promised to investigate the matter.
