The trend forced members of the Association of Keke Operators to stage a protest to Police Area Command in Port Harcourt over the detention of four of their members.
The leader of the association, ESEOGHENE ABOZE alleged that the Keke riders were arrested on the orders of the Oyigbo council authorities in a bid to silence their agitation against extortion.
Other tricycle riders who spoke with our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR claimed that they were been over taxed by the union under the influence of some politician in Oyigbo.
