The W.H.O also said the pandemic is gathering pace in Africa, with some seven hundred and fifty thousand cases and more than fifteen thousand deaths across the continent.
WHO Africa Director, Matshidiso Moeti, during a virtual media briefing said the increase in the number of covid cases is placing an ever peg eater strain on health services across the continent.
She said many health centres lack the infrastructure necessary to prevent overcrowding.
