Patrick Aliezi who is the coordinator of the Goat market which is called Evulu International Market Elele Alimini accused the Chairman of Ahoada East Local Council, Ben Eke of inciting the state government against the Elele Alimini People that led to the demolition of the market.
Aliezi dismissed reports that no government agency was aware of the establishment of the market, saying that he led the team that sought the attention of the Ahoada East Local Government Council and Special Assistant to Governor on road decongestion.
Reacting to the allegations, Chairman of Ahoada East Local Government Council, Ben Eke denied inciting the government against anyone, insisting that the market was opened without the consent of the Government officials.
The Rivers State Government through a statement by the commissioner for Information and Communication, PAULINUS NSIRIM had warned against the existence of the goat market between Elele Alimini and Ahoada East, which it said was illegal.
