Lagos-based Lawyer, Liborious Oshoma in his analysis of the Law, said CAMA is not targeted at churches as being argued by many Church owners.
Oshoma said the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2020 is merely to regulate non-profit organizations especially NGOs, adding that there was no where church is mentioned in the law.
The Lawyer also said those who should be concerned about the Law should be those who created their organizations for sinister purposes.
But Vice President Yemi Osinbajo while speaking on the second day of the ongoing NBA Conference on the CAMA Act, said religious leaders are merely concerned that, the part of the Law that allows government to appoint a manager for any erring non-profit organization may be abused.
