The Opobo/Nkoro Grassroots Mandate has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting citizens’ welfare and protecting the democratic mandate of the people.
In a Democracy Day statement signed by its Secretary, David Apiafi, the group stressed that democracy should provide access to clean water, electricity, healthcare, jobs and improved security.
The group also congratulated Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and commended Opobo/Nkoro Council Chairman, James A. James, for what it described as their commitment to grassroots development and inclusive governance.
