Our correspondent reports that the protesters blocked the road leading to Ob-Ob gas plant operated by Agip in the community.
The issue in contention is purported recruitment of new workers by the management of gas plant without consideration for people of Obrikom community.
The protest was led by the President of Obrikom Youth Association, CHIMA EJE.
Our correspondent reports that the authorities of ONELGA council have since intervened, as the Caretaker Chairman, OSI OLISAH appealed to the youths to shun violence in their agitations.
However; there has not been any reaction from the management of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company.
