A report quoted the Police Public Relations Officer of the
Kaduna State Police Command, ALIYU USMAN, confirming
that unknown gunmen invaded the community on Saturday,
which he said is predominantly a Fulani settlement.
The police spokesman said the gunmen opened fire on the
residents and fled, while security operatives have been
deployed in the area to avert further attacks.
The location where the latest attack happened is on the
boundary between Kaduna and Plateau states.
The latest incident happened three days after Fulanis and
natives of Southern Kaduna reached an agreement to end the
killings in the area.
Meanwhile; the governors of the nineteen states in northern
Nigeria are meeting in Kaduna today to try and adopt
strategies on how to address the prevailing problems.
