Conveners of the NPC, former Head of State, retired General Abdulsalam Abubakar, Bishop Matthew Kukah and the Inspector-General of Police obtained the commitment of the main candidates at the Peace Accord Ceremony held in Akure.
They appealed to all parties to avoid violence during the elections, warning that there will be dire consequences for any violation of the accord.

Electorates in Ondo will be heading to the polls this Saturday, October 10 to elect the next Governor of the state.
