Omurelu community protest over bad roads in Area.

The Omurelu protesters took out their grievances on motorists plying the Port Harcourt-Owerri expressway, as they blocked a section of the road, thereby slowing down the flow of traffic.

VICTOR WAOHA and KELECHI AMADI who led the protest told our correspondent that the people of Omerelu were also not happy with the condition of state-owned primary and secondary schools in the community.

The respondents complained that the poor condition of Omerelu internal roads have exposed the inhabitants to the danger of flooding whenever there is a downpour.

They called on the Rivers State Government under the leadership of Governor NYESOM WIKE to intervene and bring relief to Omerelu people.
