Members of the Ogoni Youth Federation who led the protest are also calling for the construction of Port Harcourt Refinery road and the exoneration of late Ken Saro-Wiwa and other Ogoni sons who were allegedly murdered some years ago.
The President of the Ogoni group, LegbosiYamabana who addressed newsmen at the scene of the protest issued a fourteen days ultimatum to the Federal government to fix the roads including the bridge within Eleme axis of the East West road, as they threaten to shut down economic activities.
Some other members of the Ogoni youth group who also spoke at the protest lamented over the suffering of the people.
Today FM‘sUchenduEjiowhor reports that the protest caused a terrible gridlock alone the East West road before the arrival of security agencies who pleaded with the protesters to allow the free flow of traffic.
