The youth president of the community, Richard Amadi-Uche who made the accusation in an interview with Todayfm’s Sandra Kenneth, expressed worry that despite playing host to a multinational company, the community still lacks basic amenities.
He said the community school structures were dilapidated, adding that roads in the area were also in a deplorable state, making them prone to the negative impact of flooding.
Amadi-Uch further threatened that if the government fails to give the area the needed attention by doing the needful, the community will not take part in any elections in the state.
Amadi-Uche on behalf of the community development committee chairman, Ovunda Obodo also distanced Obelle community from the ongoing backlash in Ibaa, stating that no one has been authorized to speak on behalf of the people.
