The closed-door meeting which lasted for hours is believed to be connected with the forthcoming convention of the People’s Democratic Party primaries ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Lamido has been reported to be eyeing the presidential ticket of the PDP.
After the meeting, Lamido disclosed that Obasanjo has reinforced his faith in the country despite the appalling situation.
This was made known in a statement released by the Special Assistant on Media to the former President, Kehinde Akinyemi.
