Nyesom Wike call for autonomy of Judiciary

 

Governor Wike said if the federal government was interested in the autonomy of the judiciary, the courts will not be shut down for two months.

The Governor made the remark while commissioning the newly built National Industrial Court Judges quarters in Port Harcourt yesterday.

Governor Wike further insisted that the state government will not pay striking judicial workers for the month of June.

On his part, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mohammed Tanko who was represented by Justice Mary Odili, appreciated the passion of Governor Wike for the welfare of judicial workers in the state.
