NWODO polled two hundred and forty-two votes to beat his rival, Professor CHIWEYITE EJIKE who polled thirteen votes.
Before his election, NWODO had disclosed that he was ready to die for the cause of Ndigbo and assured of his readiness to entrench transparency and accountability in running the Ohanaeze affairs.
