The Zonal Chairman of the Union, BOMA TOM-GEORGE in an interview with our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR said the new policy would help save the transporters the stress of double taxation.
TOM-GEORGE said the issue of double taxation was a major challenge confronting those in the transportation industry, lamenting that commercial drivers pay taxes from one local government area to another.
TOM-GEORGE while dismissing speculation that the new policy would affect the running of the union, further encouraged union members to comply with the new policy which he said was in their favour.
