NUPENG has also given the government a twenty-one day ultimatum to compel some of the oil majors to recall more than three thousand sacked workers.
The demand was contained in a communiqué that was issued by the Central Working Committee of NUPENG after a meeting in Warri, Delta State.
According to the statement; NUPENG President IGWE ACHESE observed that oil majors and oil servicing companies were closing shop because of economic recession.
NUPENG also accused the Federal Government of worsening the crisis in the oil industry by failing to meet its Joint Venture cash calls.
It also observed that the government had stifled the populace by concentrating on the fight against corruption and allowing the economy to suffer.
