Reports say the two bombers conducted a low-altitude flight over an air base located some seventy-seven kilometers from the border.
The exercise comes days after North Korea carried out the test of a fifth nuclear war head, which sparked global outrage.
The US warned the authorities in Pyongyang of serious consequences in view of the test.
