This followed an amendment of the Act establishing the National Open University of Nigeria by the Senate, which also makes it possible for law graduates of the institution to attend the Nigerian Law School.
Our correspondent JAMES IGAH reports that the amendment was passed after adoption of a report by the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TET-Fund.
The report on the Bill for an Act to Amend the National Open University Act which was presented by Chairman of the Senate Committee, Senator BARAU JIBRIN.
The amendment of the National Open University Act would require the concurrence of the House of Representatives and the assent of the President of Nigeria before it can become operational.
