The nuclear warhead explosion test was confirmed in a statement released by North Korea’s Nuclear Weapons Institute.
It said the test was a demonstration of the toughest will of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the Korean people to get themselves always ready to retaliate against the enemies.
It further said it was part of countermeasures to the racket of threat and sanctions against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, kicked up by the US-led hostile forces.
Furthermore; the North Korean government said it would take additional measures to bolster its nuclear force in quality and quantity for safeguarding its dignity and right to existence and genuine peace.
