Governor WIKE said despite prevailing social challenges, Nigeria will continue to be united and all citizens would continue to live together.
The Governor made the declaration at the Government House in Port Harcourt when he received leaders of the Muslim community in the state on Sallah homage.
Governor WIKE maintained that the unity of the country was necessary to achieve rapid development.
He assured the Muslim community in Rivers State that his administration will continue to sponsor them the Hajj pilgrimage for their spiritual well-being.
WIKE said he has respect for the Muslim community which he exemplified by inviting the Sultan of Sokoto to participate in the celebration of the golden jubilee of the state.
It also at that meeting that Governor WIKE informed the visitors that he would be traveling to Sokoto State today to pay Sallah homage to the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji SA’AD ABUBAKAR.
