Governor WIKE stressed that Rivers people must be allowed to elect their representatives.
Speaking during a church service in Port Harcourt for the dedication of the PDP rerun election campaign, Governor WIKE called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to be neutral in the course of the election.
According to a statement released by his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, SIMEON NWAKAUDU, Governor WIKE maintained that the outcome of the rerun elections would determine if INEC was ready to conduct free and fair elections in Nigeria.
The Governor warned that the PDP would resist any attempt to manipulate the outcome of the elections, pointing out that what causes election violence is rigging or writing of results.
