IPMAN had last week staged a protest where the members threatened to stop loading petroleum products if the NNPC does not supply them with diesel for their tankers.
Our correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA gathered that NNPC through one of its subsidiaries, the Petroleum Product Marketing Company has since then responded with the provision of diesel which is expected to last for about one or two weeks.
The Chairman of the Port Harcourt Unit of IPMAN, EMMANUEL INIMGBA who confirmed the development also disclosed that more shipments of diesel is expected to be made in the coming weeks to sustain the arrangement with the PPMC.
