The NMA came up with this while appreciating veteran medical practitioners in Port Harcourt.
Chairman of the NMA in Rivers state, DATONYE ALASIA during the first leaders and Elders Recognition luncheon of the Medical Professionals in Rivers State said the association is committed to the welfare of veterans in the sector.
ALASIA noted that the whole idea of organizing the luncheon was to learn and draw from the experiences of the older doctors.
Correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that President of the Nigerian Medical Association, Professor MIKE OGIRIMA disclosed that a bill has been presented to National Assembly to ensure that younger generation of House Officers gets placement to practice immediately after graduation.
