This comes after the federal government announced a shift in the deadline for the completion of the first phase of the rehabilitation of the facility.
The minister of states for Petroleum Resources Timipre Sylva had announced that the Port Harcourt Refinery will function up to ninety percent capacity after the completion of the first phase.
But in an interview with Today FM’s Chinedu Iwunna, the National Assistant Secretary of the NLC, Onyeka Chris frowned at the continued shift in the completion date for the refinery, accusing the government of lack of commitment to the project.
The NLC leader also clarified that the NLC was not against the removal of fuel subsidy but noted that it must be done based on importation of the product.
