This comes even as the debate on Justice Amadi not being the most senior judge in the Rivers state judiciary rages.
A legal practitioner, Uche Olewunne said the NJC was right in recommending justice Amadi as the Chief Judge, adding that the question of seniority in such appointments only applies when the governor is to appoint an acting chief judge.
Another legal practitioner, Christian Njigwum said the constitution was silent on the seniority criteria for appointing a Chief Judge when the seat is not vacant.
