Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral IKOT IBAS said this during the Global Maritime Conference held in Abuja.
Rear Admiral IBAS said maritime laws will help give judicial backing offences perpetrated on the Gulf of Guinea, just as he emphasized on the need for the creation of Maritime Security Initiatives
The Chief of Naval Staff also revealed that the acquisition of patrol vessels and hydro-graphic ships led to the apprehension of two hundred and vessels involved in illegal acts on Nigerian waters.
