Nigerian Navy Flags Off “Exercise Pouncer” to Step up Security on Nigeria’s Maritime Environment and Gulf of Guinea

The operation being led by the Eastern Naval Command under the control of Rear Admiral VICTOR ADEDIPE as Flag Officer Commanding is bill to last for three days.
During the period of the exercise, all fishing activities and other movements around the designated area of operation would be suspended.
Our Correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that the restriction was announced by the Naval Fleet Commander, Commodore Y. M USMAN during the ceremony at Onne in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State.
Also speaking at the event, the Flag-Officer, Rear Admiral ADEDIPE said Exercise Pouncer is aimed at training officers of the command in basic skills of seamanship.
