Nigerian Military Wraps up “Operation Python Dance Two” in South-East Geopolitical Zone

The closing ceremony was held at Sector One, Tactical Headquarters in Umuahia, Abia State, with the General Officer Commanding Eighty-Two Division, Major General ADAMU ABUBAKAR presiding.
In his remarks, Major General ABUBAKAR commended all officers, soldiers and personnel of paramilitary organizations who took part in the exercise which lasted for one month.
Major General ABUBAKAR observed that the achievements recorded during the military exercise, also known as Operation Egwu Eke Two, were remarkable.
He underscored improvement in peace and security, as well as curtailing of the menace of those he called violent irredentist groups in the South East.
A statement by the Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel SAGIR MUSA, disclosed that that the Abia State Governor, OKEZIE IKPEAZU was represented at the ceremony by EMMANUEL NWABUKO.
Colonel MUSA said the government representative promised the commitment of the state to always collaborate with the army for the improvement of peace, security and stability of the state.
The Army spokesman said retired Captain UDONSI AWA who is the Chief of Staff to Governor OKEZIE was also in attendance at the event, which also featured the traditional activation of campfire to formally signify the completion of Operation Egwu Eke Two.
