The Commander of the United States African Command – AFRICOM, General THOMAS WALDHAUSER, gave the assurance when he paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff, General GABRIEL OLONISAKIN at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
General WALDHAUSER described Nigeria as an important nation that is very strategic, not only to Africa but to the world.
The US General emphasized that the success of Nigeria also determines Africa’s success in social political and economic emancipation of the continent.
