The group spokesperson, ABIODUN DURWAIYE told newsmen during the protest that the review had been due since 2015, stating that the protest was due to Federal Government’s neglect towards its members.?
DURWAIYE warned the Federal Government against taking advantage of the military pensioners, lamenting that the group had not been paid its dues.?
The President of the group, ABBAS ANTHONY flayed the Federal Government for not giving attention to men and women who laid down their lives for the unity of Nigeria.?
Meanwhile, in a bid to forestall breakdown of law and order, the Defence Headquarters had advised the group to get a legal permit from the Nigerian Police Force before embarking on any protest march.
