According to a statement circulate through its regular electronic mail channel; the militant group claims that the destruction of the forty-two inch delivery line was carried out by its Akuma Strike Force Team in the early hours of yesterday.
The statement noted that the attack was intended to serve as a reminder about the reality that the recent silence by the Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate was not because of inactivity.
The group also noted that it had observed what it described as calculated psychological attack recently initiated by Nigerian security forces against its people.
It said pursuing and arresting its people would not defeat its struggle, stressing that what motivates its members was stronger than the Nigerian kind of patriotism.
The NDGJM also observed that some impostors have started a move to hoodwink the federal government into believing that they have what it takes to end the campaign.
It said those parading themselves as ‘Lords of Warri’, have forgotten that its campaign goes beyond their purview.
