The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has denied reports claiming that it called for the resignation of FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
The federation described the reports circulating on social media as false, stressing that it has not issued any statement demanding that Infantino step down as FIFA president.
The controversy appears to have followed comments by the president of the Norwegian Football Federation, Lise Klaveness, who publicly called for Infantino’s resignation amid growing concerns over FIFA’s leadership.
The Nigerian federation has therefore distanced itself from the reported call, reaffirming that the claims attributed to it are inaccurate.
