MACRON joined outgoing President FRANCIOS HOLLANDE for a ceremony in central Paris to mark the end of World War Two in 1945.

Reports say MACRON stood next to President HOLLANDE for a solemn ceremony at the Arc de Triomphe in commemoration of France’s liberation from the Nazis in World War Two.

Together, bother in the outgoing and incoming French leaders laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, while a military choir sang a patriotic song, honouring the French Resistance forces.

MACRON enjoyed a strong support from President HOLLANDE in defeating MARINE LE PEN in the runoff election, after the first round failed to produce a clear win.
