CP ZAKI AHMED said the Federal Government was aware of what he described as an orgy of violence in Rivers State, which he blamed on the proliferation of illegal firearms.
CP AHMED disclosed that the State Police Command was going to create a data base for criminals to enhance speedy investigation of crime cases.
The new Commissioner of Police also declared war on corrupt police personnel, stressing that the policy on zero tolerance of corruption would be maintained under his leadership.
